WALKING FORWARD TOGETHER IN RICHMOND

Maina will work to deliver excellent policies of the Victorian Liberal Party particularly

those relevant to the Electorate of Richmond such as:

  • A Better Deal for Small & Medium Businesses

1.      Reform Land Tax

2.      Cut Red Tape

The Liberals are committed to reforming land tax and cutting red tape which will greatly assist small and

medium businesses and make them stronger.

  • A Fair Go for Motorists

1.      Abolish Labor’s Parking Tax

2.      Restore Pensioner’s Car Registration Rebate

3.      Abolish charges for parking at railway stations

With the increasing transport costs both private and public, the Liberal Party will endeavour to alleviate the high cost

to motorists by cutting related transport costs such as Labor’s Parking Tax resulting in lower parking fees; restoring the

Pensioner’s Car Registration Rebate; and abolishing charges for parking at railway stations.

  • Better Management of Government Resources

Victorians are entitled to expect their government to deliver vital public services efficiently and to a high standard.

The Victorian Liberal Party have a clear plan to reduce waste and  mismanagement and improve the standard of delivery of

our public services through better planning, management and reporting  by establishing appropriate systems for measuring

the government’s performance and ensuring transparency.  This will help deliver better schools, hospitals and other

services for Victorians.
